Current Unit and Essential Questions: Persuasive Essay

This Week’s Learning Targets:

  • I can write a multi-paragraph essay in which I state my opinion and give strong reasons and details to back up my point of view.
  • I can write a thesis statement that clearly argues my opinion on a topic.
  • I can write using standard conventions of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • I can edit and refine my work independently.

Current Homework:

  • Practice key terms from learning targets sheets for final exam on Jan. 22.
  • Final examination (multiple choice – literary terms, reading comprehension) on Friday Jan. 22.

Past Due Homework:

However, the Chapter 13 storyboard from class this week is a required part of the project and is due with the project.
